Signature Workshop: Full Darkroom experience (B/W)
Description:
Immerse yourself in the complete analog darkroom world: from exposed film to the finished, high-quality black and white print on baryta paper.
In this intensive workshop you will learn the entire process of classic darkroom work – practical, focused and creative.
Together we will develop your film, create contact sheets, select the best negative and produce a final print.
In addition to standard techniques, you will also learn advanced magnification methods such as dodging, burning and contrast control to perfectly implement your image idea.
Contents:
Black and white film development (35 mm or 120)
Preparation & Handling of the Chemistry
Contact sheet of your negatives
Image Selection & Analysis
Exposure & enlargement on multigrade paper
Fine-tuning: dodging, burning, edge masking, toning
Processing, drying & archiving
Overview of different paper types (RC vs. Baryta)
Process:
A full day in the darkroom – intensive work in small groups.
In the end, you take your developed film, contact sheet and a finished fine print home with you.

Approximately 6-7 hours (including breaks)
Number of participants:
1-2 people (intensive one-on-one care)
Requirements:
Basic knowledge is helpful, but not absolutely necessary – we can start from the very beginning if needed. However, those who wish to learn and deepen their understanding of advanced techniques should have prior experience.
You should bring an exposed black and white film.
